Establishing a Reading List Freeze

In the business world, a "hiring freeze" is where a business stops hiring people and once the current employees are gone, they do not get replaced. In a similar manner, I have opted to do a "reading list freeze." That is, I will not be adding any more books to the reading list even after the ones that are on the list have been read and let go of.

My life has become a lot less conducive to the obtaining, reading, and releasing of random novels lately. For one thing, I am expecting a baby in December. So far this has mostly meant occasional doctor's appointments, and within the next month or two, I will be actually acquiring things for the baby. Also, I have a writing degree that I had obtained in December 2008 and in order to use it properly and not to mention make up for an unsuccessful job search (which didn't really pertain to said degree anyway), it has become imperative that I focus on my own writing, more specifically novel projects I have in queue, as much as possible which will mean that time away from the computer, let alone time out of the house for releasing books or anything beyond certain errands, will be limited.

As it stands right now, I'm partway through chapter two of Second Chance Bride.  The plan is at this point is to finish what is left of that chapter if not today then tomorrow and from then after that read one chapter a day until it is finished or until the end of August when I will be somewhere else, whichever comes first. If it is not done before I leave home in late August, I'll simply get as many chapters read as possible in a day as possible until it's done and ready to be released. The same will be true of For Your Eyes Only. After I have read and released those two and any other books on the "To Pass Along" end of the reading list, I will step away from RAB-PIA for a long time if not forever, but the blog might stay up for a while.
