Progress on Current Read and Upcoming Release Plans
This morning, I read chapter three of Angels in September.
I've decided that, barring anything unforseen, that I would release my copies of The Pursuit and Special Delivery on Tuesday as I have a commitment on Thursday.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter two in Angels of September. This book has ninety-seven chapters, so it's bound to take a while for me to get through, especially given my "one chapter a day" policy and if I'm unable to participate in the next read-a-thon for whatever reason. But whatever shall happen with that shall happen.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Shortly before noon, I read the first chapter of Angels of September. The amount of reading time I have left is 19 hours and 42 minutes.
Finished "Special Delivery" and Read-a-thon Progress Update
This morning, I read the final two chapters of Special Delivery. I plan to release that along with The Pursuit next week. I am now down to 19 hours and 48 minutes of reading time to fulfill. However, since there are less than fourteen hours left before midnight and I have other things I need to do today, there is no way I will get anywhere near fulfilling the remainder of the twenty-four hours.
The next book I have on tap to be read is called Angels of September by Andrew M. Greeley, which I may or may not start on tonight.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I did some reading last night and this morning in Special Delivery. I have only two chapters left on that book. If I don't get them read tonight, I'll probably read them tomorrow morning and release the book next week. After I've finished it, I will have only three books left on my current reading list before starting a new one.
The amount of reading time I have left is twenty hours and nineteen minutes. Once again, it doesn't look like I will fulfill all of that before the end of tomorrow night, but having an amount of time to "aim" for has at least given me incentive or at least an excuse to read more than one chapter per day. Maybe in a future month I won't have as much um, life to take care of and can finally get in 24 hours of reading during a read-a-thon.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Today, I read chapter four in Special Delievery. That took me thirteen minutes, so the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill before the end of Thursday is twenty-one hours and eight minutes. I'm lucky if I will get anywhere near that far do along. I wasn't able to do as much reading as I would have liked to last night because, well, let's just say that something came up.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Last night, I read chapter two in Special Delivery, and I read chapter three this morning. The amount of reading time I have left now is 21 hours and 21 minutes. Whether or not I will be reading more tonight has yet to be seen.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Tonight, I have started on Special Delivery. So far, I've only read the first chapter, which took me seventeen minutes. So, the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill is twenty-one hours and forty-four minutes.
Finished "The Pursuit" And Read-a-thon Progress Update
I have finally finished The Pursuit. However, I don't know yet when and where I will release it. After finsihing it, I am now down to twenty-two hours and one minute of reading time to fulfill before the end of Thursday.
The next book I plan to read is called Special Delivery by Danielle Steel.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read some more last night before going to bed and this morning before going to church. I got through chapter forty-seven in The Pursuit. The amount of reading time I have left before the end of Thursday is twenty-two ours and thirty-six minutes.
I'm hoping to finish the book today. However, 1) I have three novel draft editing sessions to do, and 2) I have to take care of something on Facebook over there, and there is the chance that an old boyfriend of mine or someone else will try to initiate a conversation with me, and it'd seem rude to refuse, and 3) I have to turn my phone on in case something comes up, and there's the chance that certain people in my life, who shall remain nameless, will call me just to talk, and would likely take it personally if I don't do so.
Maybe I won't get interrupted today. Maybe I will get the reading done that I would like to.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read chapter twenty-eight in The Pursuit. That took me six minutes, so I'm down to 23 hours and 48 minutes of reading time left to do.
I had meant to do more reading today, but between being late with getting certain things done and conversation I got into with an ex-boyfriend on Facebook, I haven't gotten any more reading done today. But that might change tonight. If not, I could always read tomorrow.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Today, I read chapter twenty-six in The Pursuit. I ended up reading it twice because shortly after I had read it the first time, it turned out that the read-a-thon (which I thought wasn't for another week) had already started as of midnight, and when there's a read-a-thon in effect, I like the time I spent reading to count.
The chapters have generally taken me a few minutes to read at most as they tend to be short. It took me three minutes to read the aforementioned chapter, so I have twenty-three hours and fifty-seven minutes of reading time to account for before the end of next Thursday. I'm thinking that I will do some reading tonight and over the weekend after I've done my daily novel editing sessions (fifteen minutes for each of the three drafts) for each day.

Progress on Current Read
This afternoon, I read chapter twenty-three in The Pursuit. The chapters for the most part have been only a few pages, so I don't think it took me very long to read. It hardly ever has, I would say.

Progress on Current Read and a Bad Book Habit I Am Trying to Break
Today, I read chapter twenty-one in The Pursuit. Yesterday, I had folded the corner of the page I had planned on starting on today, a practice commonly known as "dogearing" as opposed to the use of a bookmark or comparable means to mark one's place in a book. I mostly do the former with books that I own; however, if the book is from the library or otherwise does not belong to me, I'm more careful to do the latter.
While in my head, dogearing wasn't the most ideal thing to do, up until last night, it didn't really occur to me of how wrong this behavior was until I read a post from my bookcrossing friend Mozette about the evils of dogearing. I had no idea that, not only was I not doing as much justice to the book itself or whoever owned it (if it belonged to someone besides myself, but like I said I'm more likely to dogear books that belong to me), but I was being disrespectful to the author of the book. (As someone who's in the process of editing three novels of her own, you'd think that would've crossed my mind, but it hasn't, even though what I don't know can't offend me.) After I read that post, and left a comment, I felt so guilty that I unfolded the corner of the page that had been dogeared and stuck a Bath and Body Works ad, which was the closest thing to me, in the book instead.
And there are other reasons I really ought not to engage in such laziness and problematic stewardship. For one thing, it is not the best behavior for my nine-year-old nephew (in front of whom I have a history of making mistakes, which doesn't do his mom/my sister any favors) or my future niece (who is due in late August) or any children I might have myself (if I'm lucky enough to have any) to emulate. Also, having grown up on Christianity, I try to be mindful of the fact that God is watching everything I do, and the laziness/sloppiness associated with dogearing surely does not glorify him. (In fact, any behavior that is remotely problematic doesn't if you think about it, especially if it does any kind of disservice to someone else.)
Therefore, I have resolved to make every effort never to dogear again. I will be sure to have something to stick in the book (actual bookmark or otherwise) instead. Also, in the event that the bookmark should fall out, or I can't find anything convenient to mark my place, I may try to write down somewhere what page I'm on and maybe the phrase I left off on it. Hopefully, the time will come where there is absolutely no danger of me dogearing ever again.

Progress on Current Read
Today, I read chapter nineteen in The Pursuit. There are fifty-six chapters of this book altogether, so if I were to continue with one chapter per day until I finish the book, it will take me until September. However, I will hopefully be able to participate in the next read-a-thon (which I'm presuming will be later in the month) and can get the book done sooner.

Read-a-Thon Results and Progress on Current Read
Once again, I totally failed the read-a-thon. In my defense, part of this had to do with the Fourth of July being this week, and part of it had to do with the days my nephew was here and I had to babysit him. I only accumulated three hours and forty-one minutes of reading time.
This morning, I read chapter twelve of The Pursuit. This book is bound to take a while to finish since it's fifty-six chapters long, and given other things I have to do each day (novel edits, job search, etc.), it's back to one chapter a day until the next read-a-thon or until the next out of town road trip, whichever comes first. Then again, maybe I could slip in some reading time during commercial breaks.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon and Today's Release
This afternoon, I read chapter nine in The Pursuit. That put the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill to 20 hours and 31 minutes. There's no way I'm going to succeed in doing that at this point. Were it not for the novel drafts I have to edit (three drafts; I try to do 15 minutes per draft per day) and things I have to do towards my job search, I'd maybe spend more time reading today if only to get further along in the book. After all, as of tomorrow, it's one chapter per day until the next read-a-thon or I end up going on a road trip or going anywhere for which reading to pass the time is an option, whichever comes first. (The last time I've been out of town at all for any reason was between February and April of this year.)
Today, I released my copy of Immortals: The Awakening at the student center of my local college campus. I don't know if I will hear back on that or not.

Tonight, I read chapter eight of The Pursuit. That took four minutes, so the amount of reading time that I have remaining is 20 hours and 38 minutes.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read chapters four through six of The Pursuit shortly before noon and chapter seven just now. The reading time I have left to fulfill before Friday in order to have done a full 24 hours of reading is 20 hours and 42 minutes.
Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
On Sunday, I read the first chapter of The Pursuit. I didn't do any reading at all yesterday, what with it being the Fourth of July and all, so I read chatpers two and three today. I probably won't get much, if any, reading done tonight as I have to babysit.
The amount of time I have left to fulfill before Friday is 21 hours and 3 minutes.

Finished Immortals: The Awakening and Read-a-thon Update
Last night, I finished Immortals: The Awakening. It'll probably be at least another week before I'm in a position to release it, though. The amount of reading time I have left to fulfill is 21 hours and 23 minutes.
The next book I will be reading is called The Pursuit by Johanna Lindsey.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I've been reading Immortals: The Awakening off and on today. I've just now finished chapter twenty-one out of thirty-one. The amount of reading time I have left to fulfill before midnight Thursday night is 22 hours and nine minutes. I'm taking a break from the reading now, but I'll probably read more tonight and tomorrow. I might even finish the book before Monday.
Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Last night, during commercial breaks for Family Guy, I read chapter ten of Immortals: The Awakening. This morning I read chapter eleven. The latter took me fourteen minutes. The amount of reading time that I have left to fill before Friday is 23 hours and 26 minutes. I'm hoping to read more later, but I have other things I need to do today first.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Today, I read chapter nine of Immortals: The Awakening twice. After the first time, I had forgotten to track how long I had been reading in order to count it towards the Bookcrossing read-a-thon, but since I had wanted to count that chapter towards my reading time, I read it again. It took me six minutes to read. So now, the time I have left to fill up is 23 hours and 54 minutes. Barring anything unforseen, I plan to get in more reading time tonight.
