First, I would like to apologize for falling behind on this blog, which was due in part to a writing project I was involved in during the month of November.
Early in November, I finished reading the book Hidden Star. If I do not release it this week, I will aim for next week. The current book I am on is Secret Star which is also by Nora Roberts. So far, I have only read one chapter.
As of today I have added to my reading list four books that I bought from a sale back in September at the local library but never got around to listing here. They are as follows:
The Last Princess by Cynthia Freeman
Till Death Do Us Part by Rebecca York
Second Chance Bride by Jane Myers Perrine
For Your Eyes Only by Rebecca York

Updates
I'm sorry I've been behind on updating this blog.
I have finally released my copy of Angels of September. I was delayed on that since I misplaced the book shortly after I finished it. I think I had left it in my mom's car one day. Anyway, I did find it this week, and I released it today at the local college campus.
The book I'm on now is called Hidden Star by Nora Roberts of which I've only read one chapter so far.

Missed the Read-a-thon, and It Makes Me Sad
I had thought the read-a-thon for August BEGAN this past Friday, but that's when it ENDED. I didn't track how long I read whatever I did read between August 26 and September 1, so I must consider the read-a-thon missed.
Needless to say, if I do any reading tomorrow, it will have to be only one chapter as whenever my personal policy is that if I am neither involved in a read-a-thon nor in a situation where I can pass some "waiting time" by reading, I read only one chapter of whatever book I'm on per day.

I managed to get several chapters read in Angels of September as I had an out of town commute today (and was not the one driving). I made it through the end of chapter sixty-eight. So, I have put in quite a dent in the reading.

Progress on Current Read
Today, I read chapter twenty-four in Angels of September. I only have three more chapters to go before I'm finished with Book Two.
Next Friday will be the beginning of Bookcrossing's monthly read-a-thon. I plan on doing this. But do to various um, commitments, there's once again no promises that I will fulfill the full twenty-four hour reading goal. But at least I'll be able to get further into my reading.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter sixteen in Angels of September. There were no thunderstorms last night, which meant I could still do computer stuff, so no extensive reading time last night.
There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight; a slight chance but a chance nonetheless. If it does storm tonight thereby preventing me from spending more than a minimal amount of time on the computer, I may read more tonight.

Progress on Current Read
Just now, I read chapter fourteen in Angels of September. I've checked the weather forecast for this week, and most of the days have some chance of thunderstorms. As I don't like to spend more than a minimal amount of time on the computer during a thunderstorm, in the event that the thunderstorms should occur at a time I'm normally on the computer, I'll see about getting some more reading done (beyond the one chapter per day) instead.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter two in Angels of September. This book has ninety-seven chapters, so it's bound to take a while for me to get through, especially given my "one chapter a day" policy and if I'm unable to participate in the next read-a-thon for whatever reason. But whatever shall happen with that shall happen.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Shortly before noon, I read the first chapter of Angels of September. The amount of reading time I have left is 19 hours and 42 minutes.
Finished "Special Delivery" and Read-a-thon Progress Update
This morning, I read the final two chapters of Special Delivery. I plan to release that along with The Pursuit next week. I am now down to 19 hours and 48 minutes of reading time to fulfill. However, since there are less than fourteen hours left before midnight and I have other things I need to do today, there is no way I will get anywhere near fulfilling the remainder of the twenty-four hours.
The next book I have on tap to be read is called Angels of September by Andrew M. Greeley, which I may or may not start on tonight.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I did some reading last night and this morning in Special Delivery. I have only two chapters left on that book. If I don't get them read tonight, I'll probably read them tomorrow morning and release the book next week. After I've finished it, I will have only three books left on my current reading list before starting a new one.
The amount of reading time I have left is twenty hours and nineteen minutes. Once again, it doesn't look like I will fulfill all of that before the end of tomorrow night, but having an amount of time to "aim" for has at least given me incentive or at least an excuse to read more than one chapter per day. Maybe in a future month I won't have as much um, life to take care of and can finally get in 24 hours of reading during a read-a-thon.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Today, I read chapter four in Special Delievery. That took me thirteen minutes, so the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill before the end of Thursday is twenty-one hours and eight minutes. I'm lucky if I will get anywhere near that far do along. I wasn't able to do as much reading as I would have liked to last night because, well, let's just say that something came up.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Last night, I read chapter two in Special Delivery, and I read chapter three this morning. The amount of reading time I have left now is 21 hours and 21 minutes. Whether or not I will be reading more tonight has yet to be seen.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Tonight, I have started on Special Delivery. So far, I've only read the first chapter, which took me seventeen minutes. So, the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill is twenty-one hours and forty-four minutes.
Finished "The Pursuit" And Read-a-thon Progress Update
I have finally finished The Pursuit. However, I don't know yet when and where I will release it. After finsihing it, I am now down to twenty-two hours and one minute of reading time to fulfill before the end of Thursday.
The next book I plan to read is called Special Delivery by Danielle Steel.
The next book I plan to read is called Special Delivery by Danielle Steel.
Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read some more last night before going to bed and this morning before going to church. I got through chapter forty-seven in The Pursuit. The amount of reading time I have left before the end of Thursday is twenty-two ours and thirty-six minutes.
I'm hoping to finish the book today. However, 1) I have three novel draft editing sessions to do, and 2) I have to take care of something on Facebook over there, and there is the chance that an old boyfriend of mine or someone else will try to initiate a conversation with me, and it'd seem rude to refuse, and 3) I have to turn my phone on in case something comes up, and there's the chance that certain people in my life, who shall remain nameless, will call me just to talk, and would likely take it personally if I don't do so.
Maybe I won't get interrupted today. Maybe I will get the reading done that I would like to.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read chapter twenty-eight in The Pursuit. That took me six minutes, so I'm down to 23 hours and 48 minutes of reading time left to do.
I had meant to do more reading today, but between being late with getting certain things done and conversation I got into with an ex-boyfriend on Facebook, I haven't gotten any more reading done today. But that might change tonight. If not, I could always read tomorrow.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Today, I read chapter twenty-six in The Pursuit. I ended up reading it twice because shortly after I had read it the first time, it turned out that the read-a-thon (which I thought wasn't for another week) had already started as of midnight, and when there's a read-a-thon in effect, I like the time I spent reading to count.
The chapters have generally taken me a few minutes to read at most as they tend to be short. It took me three minutes to read the aforementioned chapter, so I have twenty-three hours and fifty-seven minutes of reading time to account for before the end of next Thursday. I'm thinking that I will do some reading tonight and over the weekend after I've done my daily novel editing sessions (fifteen minutes for each of the three drafts) for each day.

Progress on Current Read and a Bad Book Habit I Am Trying to Break
Today, I read chapter twenty-one in The Pursuit. Yesterday, I had folded the corner of the page I had planned on starting on today, a practice commonly known as "dogearing" as opposed to the use of a bookmark or comparable means to mark one's place in a book. I mostly do the former with books that I own; however, if the book is from the library or otherwise does not belong to me, I'm more careful to do the latter.
While in my head, dogearing wasn't the most ideal thing to do, up until last night, it didn't really occur to me of how wrong this behavior was until I read a post from my bookcrossing friend Mozette about the evils of dogearing. I had no idea that, not only was I not doing as much justice to the book itself or whoever owned it (if it belonged to someone besides myself, but like I said I'm more likely to dogear books that belong to me), but I was being disrespectful to the author of the book. (As someone who's in the process of editing three novels of her own, you'd think that would've crossed my mind, but it hasn't, even though what I don't know can't offend me.) After I read that post, and left a comment, I felt so guilty that I unfolded the corner of the page that had been dogeared and stuck a Bath and Body Works ad, which was the closest thing to me, in the book instead.
And there are other reasons I really ought not to engage in such laziness and problematic stewardship. For one thing, it is not the best behavior for my nine-year-old nephew (in front of whom I have a history of making mistakes, which doesn't do his mom/my sister any favors) or my future niece (who is due in late August) or any children I might have myself (if I'm lucky enough to have any) to emulate. Also, having grown up on Christianity, I try to be mindful of the fact that God is watching everything I do, and the laziness/sloppiness associated with dogearing surely does not glorify him. (In fact, any behavior that is remotely problematic doesn't if you think about it, especially if it does any kind of disservice to someone else.)
Therefore, I have resolved to make every effort never to dogear again. I will be sure to have something to stick in the book (actual bookmark or otherwise) instead. Also, in the event that the bookmark should fall out, or I can't find anything convenient to mark my place, I may try to write down somewhere what page I'm on and maybe the phrase I left off on it. Hopefully, the time will come where there is absolutely no danger of me dogearing ever again.

Progress on Current Read
Today, I read chapter nineteen in The Pursuit. There are fifty-six chapters of this book altogether, so if I were to continue with one chapter per day until I finish the book, it will take me until September. However, I will hopefully be able to participate in the next read-a-thon (which I'm presuming will be later in the month) and can get the book done sooner.

Read-a-Thon Results and Progress on Current Read
Once again, I totally failed the read-a-thon. In my defense, part of this had to do with the Fourth of July being this week, and part of it had to do with the days my nephew was here and I had to babysit him. I only accumulated three hours and forty-one minutes of reading time.
This morning, I read chapter twelve of The Pursuit. This book is bound to take a while to finish since it's fifty-six chapters long, and given other things I have to do each day (novel edits, job search, etc.), it's back to one chapter a day until the next read-a-thon or until the next out of town road trip, whichever comes first. Then again, maybe I could slip in some reading time during commercial breaks.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon and Today's Release
This afternoon, I read chapter nine in The Pursuit. That put the amount of reading time I have left to fulfill to 20 hours and 31 minutes. There's no way I'm going to succeed in doing that at this point. Were it not for the novel drafts I have to edit (three drafts; I try to do 15 minutes per draft per day) and things I have to do towards my job search, I'd maybe spend more time reading today if only to get further along in the book. After all, as of tomorrow, it's one chapter per day until the next read-a-thon or I end up going on a road trip or going anywhere for which reading to pass the time is an option, whichever comes first. (The last time I've been out of town at all for any reason was between February and April of this year.)
Today, I released my copy of Immortals: The Awakening at the student center of my local college campus. I don't know if I will hear back on that or not.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
I read chapters four through six of The Pursuit shortly before noon and chapter seven just now. The reading time I have left to fulfill before Friday in order to have done a full 24 hours of reading is 20 hours and 42 minutes.
Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
On Sunday, I read the first chapter of The Pursuit. I didn't do any reading at all yesterday, what with it being the Fourth of July and all, so I read chatpers two and three today. I probably won't get much, if any, reading done tonight as I have to babysit.

I've been reading Immortals: The Awakening off and on today. I've just now finished chapter twenty-one out of thirty-one. I'm taking a break from the reading now, but I'll probably read more tonight and tomorrow. I might even finish the book before Monday.
Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
Last night, during commercial breaks for Family Guy, I read chapter ten of Immortals: The Awakening. This morning I read chapter eleven. The latter took me fourteen minutes. Today, I read chapter nine of Immortals: The Awakening twice. After the first time, I had forgotten to track how long I had been reading in order to count it towards the Bookcrossing read-a-thon, but since I had wanted to count that chapter towards my reading time, I read it again. It took me six minutes to read. So now, the time I have left to fill up is 23 hours and 54 minutes. Barring anything unforseen, I plan to get in more reading time tonight.

This afternoon, I read chapter seventeen of Candle in the Window. I have six more chapters to go, and provided that I keep reading one chapter every single week, I should be able to release it "into the wild" a week from today.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, after I had done a fifteen-minute editing session on one of my novels, I read chapter fourteen of Candle in the Window. That has helped fill up some time before I need to head out this morning.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, while waiting for time to feed my cat in Facebook's Petville, I read chapter twelve of Candle in the Window. I have eleven chapters of that to read still, so if I stick to my policy of reading at least one chapter a day, I should be done by a week from this coming Wednesday.

This morning, I read chapter eleven of Candle in the Window. I think my one chapter a day goal is going well.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter ten of Candle in the Window as one of my "to-do's" for today. I may or may not read more later.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter nine of Candle in the Window to help pass some time before going to my usual Wednesday shift at the Doggie Bag. As of this week, I plan to have the reading of at least one chapter of the book I'm on as a regular part of my task list on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also want to try reading a chapter on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before I head out in the morning if at all possible; if not, then I hope to get in a chapter when I get home.

Progress on Current Read
This morning, I read chapter eight of Candle in the Window. I put it on my to-do list for today as part of my attempt to obtain and maintain structure on Tuesdays and Thursdays (something I plan to explain in further detail on one of my other blogs). I may or may not read more tonight.

Progress on Current Read
I've read chapter seven of Candle in the Window this afternoon. I'm thinking of re-attempting a goal I had set for myself awhile back to read at least one chapter a day of whatever book I'm on. I might read more sometime after dinner, though.
Progress on Current Read
First off, I ended up failing the May-June read-a-thon. (Too many distractions; let's just leave it at that.)
Second, yesterday, I read chapter six of Candle in the Window. Hopefully, I'll have chapter seven read today.

Today's Reading Progress
I felt bad that I hadn't done much today. I read chapter five of Candle in the Window today. That took me nineteen minutes, so basically, I've got 22 hours and 20 minutes of reading to do before Friday.
Read-a-thon Progress and Progress on Current Read
Last night, I finished up what I had left of chapter four in Candle in the Window. That took me eleven minutes. I now have 22 hours and 39 minutes of reading time to do before Friday. I might do some reading today.

Progress on Current Read and on Read-a-thon
The book I am currently on is Candle in the Window by Christina Dodd. I started on the first chapter at some point in the last week or two but didn't get back to reading in for some reason. I picked up the book again and am now partway into chapter four.
I am also involved in the May-June read-a-thon. I did not read at all yesterday, but I read an hour and ten minutes this morning. I have 22 hours and 50 minutes to go in order to fulfill the 24-hour goal.

Starting Reading List for RAB-PIA Season 3
Today, I was able to buy more books to kick off season 3 of RAB-PIA. They are as follows:
Candle in the Window by Christina Dodd
Immortals: The Awakening by Joy Nash
The Pursuit by Johanna Lindsey
Special Delivery by Danielle Steel
Angels of September by Andrew M. Greeley
Hidden Star by Nora Roberts
Captive Star by Nora Roberts
I don't know how long it will take for me to get through all of these, and there may be more on the list later on.

Last Season On RAB-PIA
The first book I read for the season was called The Eyes of Darkness by Dean Koontz. I read six or seven other books that were also on my reading list. The last book on the original list was The Seance by Heather Graham. Around Halloween, I did a mini-series based on my experience with the October-November read-a-thon for Bookcrossing. As usual, as I failed, so did my main character. On Christmas Eve, I recieved two books, one called Little Book of Stress and Little Book of Crap, both of which I finished in January. I released many of my books periodically.
Two of the books on my list, The Seance and The Outlaw's Bride, could not be released before late April, even though I had finished them both well before then. Initially in February, the weather limited how often I got out. During the back half of the month and most of March and April, I was out of town due to a family emergency and was not even able to purchase any more books. Thus, season 2 was left in mid-air. The season finally ended in late April with the releases of The Seance and The Outlaw's Bride.

A Long Overdue Double Release
Today, I released my copies of The Seance and The Outlaw's Bride at the student center of the local college campus. I haven't bought any more books yet, but I hope to do that either on Thursday or next Tuesday. That will be when I premiere season three of RAB-PIA.

Sorry About The Overdue Warning
Releasing my books back in February had ended up not working out, I'm afraid, as the situation in my family took longer to be resolved than had been previously anticipated. I must've forgotten about my post here about the release, so I didn't post that it wouldn't work out for me to release. As the pause in my activities here ended up being longer than I thought, I will do a "closure" release in the coming week for some of the books from season 2 in order to wrap it up and then do a new season with new books at a later time.
I'm sorry I didn't warn everyone earlier. Unfortunately, the circumstances of the halt were unforseen and out of my hands. But the important thing is that I can pick up where I left off.

Will Be Releasing Books Next Week, Lord Willing
Due to a combination of bad weather limiting my "outside time" for the first part of the month and a family emergency calling me out of town for a couple of weeks, I have not been able to do anything this month in connection to RAB-PIA. If all goes according to plan however, I will be back in my hometown as of this coming weekend and can therefore resume RAB-PIA activities.
Next week, I plan to release two of the books on my "To Pass Along" list, The Seance and The Outlaw's Bride, provided that the weather permits it. I'm not sure whether or not I will be buying any more books as I will have a novel to edit and will likely need to work extra hard on my job search to make up for lost time in February.
If I can't do any book stuff after the releases in March, I might try in April or May.

Finished "The Little Book of Crap"
I finished The Little Book of Crap in the last day or so.
I'm contemplating what I'm going to do for a while. I can either buy some more books, or I can take yet another hiatus for a while. After all, I'm out of books to read and pass on, and yet, I have other stuff I need to do. I'll have to think about it for a while. I'll let you all know what it is I'm going to do once I have an idea.

Finished "The Little Book of Stress"
I finished The Little Book of Stress tonight. It's rather short, as is my current read, The Little Book of Crap. I'll likely finish the latter tonight as well.

Finished 'The Seance'
Last night, I decided I'd spend this afternoon reading The Seance in order to help minimize my "down" time (as having nothing to do sometimes causes me to wander about my room or something, which is kind of dumb). I just now finished it.
The next book on tap to be read is The Little Book of Stress by Kaz Cooke.

Progress On Current Read: The Seance
This afternoon, I spent time going through emails and taking surveys. My eyes could only take the computer screen for so long, so I read the prologue of The Seance. That's as I far as I got.
Just Finished "The Outlaw's Bride"
Just now, I finished The Outlaw's Bride. I was planning on releasing it today prior to a meeting that I had scheduled for this afternoon, but said meeting had to be postponed (date to be determined) due to a combination of bad weather and illness in both my family and that of the other person. I'll see about releasing the book next week if the weather warms up a bit.
The next book I plan on reading is The Seance by Heather Graham.

Finished A Chapter In "The Outlaw's Bride"
I don't know why, but it took me a while to finish chapter five in The Outlaw's Bride. Nonetheless, it is finished.
I'm hoping to get more reading done tonight and tomorrow night. As I have a commitment on Thursday, my goal is to have the book finished by then so that I can release it.
